Measuring the Performance of Business Analysts was written to help business analysts and BA managers build a performance measurement system that supports every element of high performance, including:
A BA measurement program is no small feat, and before you build a program it’s worth understanding the what, why, and how of measurement. Adriana does a wonderful job walking you through each decision and will help you avoid the many measurement pitfalls. A must-read for anyone considering a BA measurement program or about to revise a program that hasn’t been working effectively.
Out of Adriana’s research on measuring performance and her business analysis experience comes a practical guide for measuring a BAs performance with the goal of improving customer satisfaction and customer success. I really like her advice on focusing on individuals strengths rather than their weaknesses.
A clear and concise book for a great cause that puts rigger to enhance the effectiveness of business analysts.

A Note from the Author
When I started my career, my performance was being measured based on a single criterion: productivity. My colleagues and I were expected to produce a certain number of reports each month, and it didn’t matter if the quality of the reports was good or bad, only that we produced enough of them. I started studying performance measurement out of frustration with this limited view–I thought that performance measures should be able to provide me with actionable data, that I could actually use to achieve performance gains. This ebook is the result of what I learned and practiced over the past 15 years while helping organizations determine what to measure and how to use performance data to identify problems and opportunities in the business analysis work, improve their requirements processes, and increase customer satisfaction with software projects.
